WHY SPONSOR?

Your support makes Ananya Dance Theatre’s many programs possible. As a community-embedded organization making art with and for our neighbors, eliminating cost barriers for our students, audiences, and collaborators is critical to our mission. All of our events are free or sliding-scale, and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. This means that, by nature, we have been a primarily grant-funded organization since our inception, with a small but mighty corps of small-dollar donors who contribute what they can.

But the funding tides are shifting. Once-reliable federal grant programs have adopted “priorities” hostile to the nature of our work. Foundations are shifting their attention away from the arts. State and municipal funding opportunities are limited.

This is where you come in.

Sponsoring our annual premiere helps us ensure that we can continue to pay our ensemble, staff, and collaborators equitable wages; provide our staff and ensemble with free primary healthcare; keep our studio safe and beautiful; and prepare for an uncertain future in an unsettled world.

  • Sponsorship at the Spark level ($1,000) is recommended for companies or organizations with an operation budget of BLANK to BLANK. In thanks, Spark Sponsors will receive:

    • 2 tickets to PREM | Love: an Occupation

    • Listings as a sponsor on our website, in the PREM program, and in a social media post on all ADT platforms

    • A $30 ADT merch voucher

    • A signed copy of Dr. Ananya Chatterjea’s most recent book, Dancing Transnational Feminisms
