Colin "BzyChln" Edwards is a Twin Cities–based dancer, choreographer, and founder of Meridian Movement Co, a company dedicated to exploring the intersections of hip hop, modern, and contemporary dance. His work emphasizes collective imagery and emotional expression, blending street dance foundations with theatrical performance to create pieces that resonate across communities.
Colin began dancing at age 14, studying hip hop with a focus on waving and animation, before receiving formal training at Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and TU Dance. Since 2019, he has developed choreography and performances that reflect his lived experiences and artistic vision, while expanding opportunities for hip hop and street dance to thrive on larger stages.
Through Meridian Movement Co., Colin has presented work at leading Twin Cities venues, including The Ordway and the Walker Art Center. In addition to performance and creation, he contributes to Minnesota’s dance community as a teacher, collaborator, and organizer, supporting projects that connect movement, music, and visual storytelling. He aims to use dance as a vehicle for healing, dialogue, and transformation, both within his company and the broader arts community.
