rise in courage. rise in protection. rise in movement. we are the sudden blossoms of the revolution.
Join us at the Southern Theater for the world premiere of Prem | Love: an Occupation. From the Uprising following the murder of George Floyd to Operation Metro Surge, Prem unfolds against the backdrop of recent crises in the Twin Cities. Weathering chaos, horror, and exhaustion, we enter the flow of an energetic rhythm that sustains an ever-shifting, ever-responding network of care, spilling over with a deep, collective love. The work explores the internal texture of our experiences in these traumatic times, reaching toward transformation through practices of public love, care, and defiant joy that celebrate people power. PREM is our love letter to the Twin Cities’ history of resolute resistance, penned in Ananya Dance Theatre’s powerful, urgent, and timely contemporary dance form.
