In partnership with Mizna, Body Watani, and 825 Arts, Ananya Dance Theatre is thrilled to welcome El-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe to the Shawngrām Institute for Performance & Social Justice! Over the course of a one-week tour of the Twin Cities, El-Funoun will teach movement and music workshops for all ages, facilitate community conversation around art and justice, and (in collaboration with local dance artists) present 2 public performances of their current work. Events will take place at various locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul; all events are donation-based, and ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO EL-FUNOUN.
