Ananya Dance Theatre & the Shawngram Institute present Onurawnon/Vibration

June 15 @ 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM

| Free

Ananya Dance Theatre and the Shawngram Institute for Performance & Social Justice present Onurawnon/Vibration, performances of choreography by Toan Thanh Doan and Brotherhood Dance/Orlando Hunter & Ricardo Valentine.

We Were Born Soft | Choreographed & performed by Toan Thanh Doan | Music: Cai Duyen |
Composer: Ngo Hong Quang | Costume Designer: Ming Lian | The piece explores the search for softness in a world that abandons human vulnerability. Here, we are pushed to the edge of hardness, shielding ourselves from the forces of pain and norms. This dance is a statement of grounding in radical softness: “I would rather fear than feel nothing.”

How to Survive a Plague | Choreographed & performed by Brotherhood Dance/Orlando Hunter & Ricarrdo Valentine

This event will be followed by RadicalBliss Dance Imprint Shoeless Music/Dance Jam from 6:45pm to 8pm.
