Lecture: Hollins University

Ananya Chatterjea, artistic director of Ananya Dance Theatre, will be a guest lecturer at Hollins University, Roanoke, VA, on the topic “Together in Conversation. Research, Practice, Critical Race Theory, and Dance.”

The lecture is sponsored by the M.F.A. in Dance Program and will be held Saturday, June 13, 4:30pm, at the Frances Niederer Auditorium of the Richard Wetherill Visual Arts Center, 7916 Williamson Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.

Chatterjea, a Professor of Dance, University of Minnesota, will speak on “Heat: Contestations in Contemporary Dance.” She will be joined by Glenn Bracey, Hollins, speaking on “Revolutionary Dance: Creating a World Worthy of the Struggle.”
