Final Michhil Procession: Honoring our Mutual Relationship with the Land
September 6 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The final of four intentional, thematically structured processions, designed to reveal the potential of movement as an organizing methodology. Imagined as vital gathering points for our Twin Cities BIPOC, Queer, Dalit, and other marginalized communities. The accumulated energies of these processions will energize all participants, provoking us to further action, pushing for justice with the tools, skills, and imaginations of artists. These events are free and open to the community.
We will celebrate the care-filled and nurturing relationship with land that is enshrined in the mission of Frogtown Farm, founded by visionary leaders Seitu Jones and Soyini Guyton and Black-led environmental justice initiatives.
September 6, 2023, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm CT.
We will gather at the Milton Street parking lot of Frogtown Farm (946 Minnehaha Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104).
We will process in 2 groups around the sundial to meet at a central spot and offer a brief performance and a meditation on mutuality with the earth.
This event is free and open to all.
