Forecast Public Art and Ananya Dance Theatre’s Shawngram Institute for Performance & Social Justice co-host the last Forecast/Forward series event of 2019.
At this second part of the two-part conversation on decolonizing public art, we center performance art, visual art and cultural organizing. Artists Kealoha Ferreira and Olivia Levins Holden will explore how artists are standing up and fighting back against colonization, from Puerto Rico to Mauna Kea, and how this impacts the future of public art in the U.S.
The discussion will be facilitated by Candida Gonzalez.
